Today we are thrilled to announce the launch of Athlone Artists. This boutique agency led by longtime classical music industry leader Miguel A. Rodrigíuez offers international representation for opera and concert artists with an ambitious aim: to Cultivate Brilliant Artistry.
Athlone proudly represents a diverse roster of 21 singers, stage directors and conductors from all levels of the profession, including established singers such as tenor John Bellemer, soprano Meredith Hansen, conductor Tyson Deaton, Metropolitan Opera bass Brian Kontes, stage director Mary Birnbaum, and Grammy® nominated tenor Karim Sulayman. Extraordinary emerging artists we are especially excited about include American sopranos Emily Misch and Chelsea Friedlander, Chinese baritone Xiaomeng Zhang, and fierce countertenor Logan Tanner.

Athlone Artists is named for an Irish town and eponymous bridge located at one of the narrowest points of the River Shannon and known since the middle ages as an important meeting place and hub for commerce. This image translated into Athlone’s vision for the agency as a convening center for, and a bridge between artists, presenters and patrons.
